The medical department at Salisbury City FC

The medical department at SalisburyCity FC has recently been re-structured with the arrival of James Grigg.

Physiotherapy Salisbury

Grigg, who was recruited by Salisbury first team manager Tommy Widdrington, now heads the medical team along with current physiotherapist Conrad Parrott and Sports massage therapist and first aider Kevin Bushby. The move is a step forward by the club who are keen to progress to the next level in football.

The medical department at any football club is vital in making sure that the players are constantly able to perform at their very best. It is also responsible for the safe return of inevitably injured players in the shortest time possible.

The restructuring of our medical department will undoubtedly improve performance on the pitch. James comes to us with a wealth of experience and a modern approach which we’ll all benefit from greatly. His official role will be “Head of Medical” and he will work closely with our current medical department”

Sports Massage
Sports Massage in Salisbury

Sports massage is quite simply massage….. just better.
It works by applying deep pressure to areas of tightness
within the muscle often known as knots. These knots
cause pain at the site of the tightness within the muscle.
However, it is also common for muscular knots to cause
pain in other areas of the body that are not tight. This is
called “refereed pain”. For example, tightness in the upper
back and shoulder muscles can cause headache pain.

Sports massage will leave you feeling refreshed,
rejuvenated and relaxed. Due to the demands
of daily living and the stresses we place on our
bodies, many people put up with constant dull
aches or niggling pains. Most of these are of
muscular origin. Sports massage address’s these
issues and resolves them quickly often with
immediate effect.
